About Us
Kingsdown Lions FC is a proud, inclusive and community-focused football club in Swindon, creating opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to enjoy and develop through football.
Our Story
Kingsdown Lions FC grew from the former Lydiard Youth club and continues that community-first approach today. Based at Kingsdown School in Stratton St Margaret, we provide football pathways across Cubs, Youth, Lionesses and Adult teams.
Our aim is simple: create a safe, friendly and supportive environment where players can enjoy football, build confidence, develop their skills and feel part of a strong local community.
The club is powered by volunteers, coaches, committee members, parents, sponsors and supporters who give their time and expertise to help every team thrive.
Inclusive for All
Football for everyone regardless of ability.
Player Development
Helping every player reach their potential.
Our Community
Stronger together on and off the pitch.
A Brighter Future
Creating opportunities for the next generation.
About Our Club
You will be aware that all our players benefit from a match kit and training apparel; provided by the club and incorporated into your membership fees. We have just invested in all our players, as we re-brand from our previous club name, Lydiard Youth to Kingsdown Lions. That represented a huge financial investment.
Additional kit may be supplied by your relevant team, subject to sponsorship income. Should you have any sponsorship opportunities please contact your Team Manager, the Committee or our Commercial Department – commercial@kingsdownlions.com.
We welcome parents purchasing additional items over the club provision. Please click on the catalogue and price list to select your additional items for your son or daughter. We also have a coaches/manager section that parents may like to purchase club approved apparel from to wear as you support the players and team.
We have many requests from parents to purchase additional spare kit or extra items, and the club shop enables you to do that.
Our Committee
Our club is managed by a dedicated committee of volunteers who work behind the scenes to keep Kingsdown Lions FC running and provide a positive, safe and enjoyable football experience for all.
